Arrival
Information. Dallas to Manhattan Flights
Few guidelines for the students to follow.
One can refer to the Pre-Arrival website for further information.
The website is: http://www.k-state.edu/oip/
The students will need to complete the following before their arrival:
1. HOUSING: The student has to decide about whether they
will want on-campus or off-campus housing. Because of very limited space
in the on-campus residence halls, there are no temporary housing options
on campus. This means, when the student arrives, they must sign a housing
contract immediately, if they wish to stay in the residence halls.
They will not be allowed to stay for a few days until they decide whether
they want to live on or off-campus. They will need to make the decision
immediately.
*** Students who wish to live on-campus should complete the online
application for a housing contract before they arrive. This will add their
name to the housing list and notify the Housing and Dining Department
to expect their arrival. ***
If they do not want to live in the residence halls, they will need to
make their own housing arrangements off-campus. They will also need to
be prepared to stay in a hotel for a few days when they arrive until they
can make off-campus housing arrangement.
For Referemce, kindly visit the website: http://www.housing.k-state.edu
The Holiday Inn Hotel is located next to the campus. Reservations can
be made online at:

2. eID REGISTRATION: Register for an eID. This will be
the student's identification that they will use to access all of K-State's
electronic resources. To register: www.eid.k-state.edu/eProfile/registration.do
Once it is set up, the eID will need to be verified. The students will
need to use their WID (Wildcat ID) number to complete the verification.
The WID can be found at the top of their acceptance letters.
3 . AIRPORT SHUTTLE BUSES: The free K-State airport shuttle
from Kansas City International Airport to Manhattan runs on three nights:
Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Buses pick up students at all three terminals, beginning at 11:30 pm.

UNIVERSITY HOLIDAY SCHEDULE
Moore Hall remains open for students during University Holiday schedule
time.
HEALTH INSURANCE:
Please remember, each student is required to purchase health insurance.
They are welcome to buy health insurance before they arrive, they just
need to be certain that it is valid in the U.S.
They can also choose to purchase the University Endorsed Health Insurance
Plan before they arrive or they can wait until after they have arrived
on campus. You can learn more about the university endorsed plan as well
as other health insurance requirements, at the following website: http://www.k-state.edu/oip/prearrival/health.htm
The approximate cost to purchase the university endorsed health plan is
$450 for the Spring and Fall semester. Students are not required to carry
health insurance during the summer semester; however it is HIGHLY recommended
that they always have health insurance while in the U.S. as health care
in the U.S. is VERY expensive. If they choose to carry the health insurance
for the entire year, they should budget approximately $1,400.
The student can take the TB test in India so that if there is any problem
one can take medical aid immediately but a student is required to take
a TB test Costing $8 at the university too it is mandatory.
