Kansas State University was established in 1863 as a land grant university, and is a well-respected academic and research institution. Accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (http://www.ncahlc.org), Kansas State University is known for its excellent academic programs in over 200 majors for undergraduates, including business, engineering, computers, mass communications, biology, architecture, aviation science, and agricultural economics. Kansas State University is a big American university in Manhattan, Kansas, a small, safe American university town with a town population of 50,000 people, and a university population of an additional 23,000 students. Manhattan, Kansas, is known for the friendliness of its people and its beautiful natural environment. In the northeast quadrant of Kansas, we have a four-season climate, with wonderful, mild springs, hot summers, cool and colorful autumns, and cold winters with some snow. During the past year, the Kansas State University India Office has done an excellent job of organizing and developing both a center for K-State information in India, and an agent network throughout India, Nepal and Sri Lanka. In such a large and varied country as India, it is extremely important to have an in-country office that can directly answer questions from students and parents about such things as: areas of study available at Kansas State, costs, application procedures, the visa process, and travel to the U.S. and to the State of Kansas. During April and May, we are especially looking forward to talking to prospective undergraduate students who are interested in studying in the United States at Kansas State University.

KSU located exactly at the geographical centre of US, is a beautiful place to live in. The nature is beautiful with snowfall in winter and the colors in fall which are really awesome.People here at k-state are very much receptive, friendly and affable towards foreign cultures. Also, the people here are friendly and create an ideal environment where new students can get accommodated easily and concentrate on their studies. The facilities here at k-state are really awesome and provide atmosphere where people can give their best. Ultimately, K-state is a great place to pursue higher studies with safe, peaceful, friendly environment, great facilities, rich culture and highly respected standards.
